About the Journal

Aim

The aim of the journal is to publish high quality peer reviewed research in the fields of public health and community health, especially on issues of national and regional importance for developing countries like India and abroad.

 

The scope of the Journal

The journal typically publishes original research articles and review articles from the areas of public health, preventive medicine, general epidemiology, infectious and non-infectious disease epidemiology, epidemiological diagnosis, maternal health, child health, adolescent health, public health administration, health care service delivery, etc. Research findings relevant to India and the subcontinent are emphasized more. However, it is not limited to that. Invited reviews and comments, invited papers on recent advances, editorial correspondence, and book reviews are also published in the journal.

 

Open Access Statement

NJCM is an open access journal for academics, allowing any user to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of its articles and use them for any other lawful purpose. All the articles published in this journal are free to access immediately from the date of publication. The journal does not charge any fees for downloading articles.

Archiving

National Journal of Community Medicine utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries, allowing those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration.

 

Author Self-Archiving

Authors are permitted and encouraged to post any version of their manuscript to personal or institutional websites, in repositories and similar, prior to and after publication (while providing the bibliographic details of that publication).

 

Disclaimer

NJCM shall not take any responsibility for the contents of articles published in the journal, and all such responsibility shall lie with the author/s. The opinions expressed in the articles are solely those of the author(s), and NJCM may not agree with such opinions in part or in full.

All the articles submitted for publication in NJCM are peer reviewed for authenticity, ethical issues, and usefulness. Decision of the reviewers shall be final. Authors are solely responsible for originality of the published work.

NJCM shall uphold the highest ethical standards of scientific publications. Drug trials sponsored by the pharmaceutical industry shall not find favour.

The author retains the copyrights of his/her own article published in the journal and reproduce/ print/ publish it in the part or total in any form is with due acknowledgement of the source as per ethical norms.
